On July 25, 2014, William C. Daiker, beloved husband of the late Helen Elizabeth Daiker (nee Long); devoted father of Robert Daiker Jr. and his wife Sarah, Jean Calix, and the late William Ronald Daiker and his late wife Patricia, loving grandfather of Carl Nines, Elaine Harder, Linda Daiker Spear, Debbie Daiker Walton, William R. Daiker Jr., Melissa Daiker Wells, Robert Daiker Jr., Donna Daiker Morris, David Daiker, and the late Erich Daiker. Also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Daiker retired from Armco Steel and served in the United States Army, tank division, during WWII.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1704 Old Eastern Avenue, on Wednesday at 9am. Visiting hours at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue, on Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm.Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
