Robert Donald Dugent Sr.
On May 12, 2015 Robert Donald Dugent Sr., age 86 of Ellicott City, MD, formerly of Essex, MD and Dagsboro, DE passed away peacefully at Greenway Manor Assisted Living in Ellicott City, MD, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Dugent was born on January 15, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Erma and Hammond Dugent. He served in the United States Navy in 1946-1947.
He was then employed as an audio/visual technician at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, where he retired from after 40yrs of service. After retiring and moving to Dagsboro, DE, he enjoyed his community at The Greens, where he was a part of the community gardening club. He was the devoted husband of 58yrs. to the late Doris Dugent. Beloved father of Carol Pease and her husband Steve of Ellicott City, MD, Robert Dugent Jr. and his wife Janie of Linthicum, MD, and the late, Deborah Letke.
Loving Grandfather of 10: Cam Letke, Courtney Crowley, Danielle Franklin, Laura and Gregory Pease, Lindsay Dugent, Megan Smith, Amanda Spera, Jason Bechtel, and Jaclynn Overstreet. Loving Great-Grandfather of 14: Jason Watson, Madison and Jordan Crowley, Devin Franklin, Scott Kus, Brandon and Aryssa Reid, Micah and Aiden Smith, Keller and Layla Spera, Logan Bechtel, Lance and Cody Overstreet.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, (300 Mace Avenue Baltimore, Md 21221) on Saturday May 16th, 2015 at 11:00AM. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday May 16th, 2015 between the hours of 9:00AM to 11:00AM.
Interment private.
